This blog was created for the purposes of educating, helping & supporting other asexual spectrum people and questioning asexual spectrum people.
This blog is also body positive, sex positive & LGBT positive.
We do not advocate or tolerate: slut shaming, virgin shaming, body shaming, asexual elitism, homophobia, slurs that intend to hurt or offend.

Transsexuality is caused by a hormone imbalance in the womb, where at around 6-10 weeks an XX fetus is exposed to too much testosterone, causing them to have a male neurology and female physio-biology, and vice-versa for trans women. It does occur in nature. A pregnant woman produces both female and male hormones, and sometimes an imbalance occurs.”
I want a source on this. I’m trans* myself, so I’m not saying that it doesn’t exist, but I’d like to know the source of this, because as far as I know, nobody definitively knows what causes people to be transgender. I’m curious as to where this came from, just because I want to know if this is the only cause suggested. (The stray quote at the end suggests it was copied and pasted from somewhere.)
Mind, I’m also a little bitter about the binarism indirectly suggested in this, but let’s not get into that right now. I’m much more concerned about the fact that this seems to conflate transgenderism and transsexuality, which are not the same thing.
^^^ If any of y’all recognise this or know of proof, could you let me know? This would be a convenient little fact to have, if it is indeed a fact…
For those looking for citation on this quote in particular, I found it here

@1 year ago with 176 notesI have a store on Zazzle.com at which I’m selling a bunch of LGBTQIA merchandise. I have a few other things too — shirts that say MISANDRY FOR LIFE, shirts that say I HATE EVERYONE (I made those ones ages ago thinking they were funny, I would take them down now but people have actually bought them, so…), etc. But mostly it is pride stuff.
ANYWAY I thought people might be interested so I am posting about it on my Tumblr. Those of you who are friends of mine on Plurk already know about this, though. Also if there’s anything you want to see me add let me know (reply to this post if you can, or drop me an ask) and I will look into it.
Edited to add an example product:
There are also other shirts and keychains and stickers and pendants and iPhone cases and even shoes!! I will be snagging some pansexual shoes myself once I have the funds.
This looks awesome! :)

@1 year ago with 5 notesHey Tumblr, ‘sup. So I’m in charge of chairing tonight’s LMU GSA meeting, and the subject is erasure/discrimination within the queer community and within queer-friendly (supposedly) media. I have a little by way of media (videos and such) and I have some discussion questions for the group, but what I really want is this:
- Information on transphobia/trans* erasure within the queer community
- Ditto asexual erasure
I know it’s not anyone’s job to educate me, but I’d rather have accurate information… hence this plea. Anyone want to message me an article, video or link?

@1 year ago with 10 notes@1 year ago with 12 notesHi guys! I’m making a collection of mini stories and reflections on sexuality and sexual preference! Submit them anonymously in my ask! Example ideas below:
- Your own coming out story
- Stories of bullying or hate
- Stories about being happy with yours or someone else’s sexuality
- Abundance or lack of support within the gay community
- Stories regarding your orientation, or sexuality in general
- Questioning stories
- Transsexual/transgender stories
- Stories about being asexual
- Challenges you have overcome
- Challenges you are still dealing with
- Things that you don’t understand about sexuality
- Questions
- Anything else relating to sexuality!
I’ll post the entire paper when it is finished :) (BTW it’s for my Human Sexual Orientation class)
Please help out!

Heteromantics, Bisexuals and Queers Oh My!
There are those who would rightfully tell me I should treat this with less levity, but Asexuals and Bisexuals have a lot more in common than seems at first. Heteromantic Asexuals have recently falling pray to something that has long plagued bisexual people. And it’s just as ridiculous to claim a Bisexual dating a member of the opposite sex as straight as it is to claim the Heteroromantic Asexual is straight.

You Can Be Asexual And Still Have a Sex Drive
This refers to a post on the Stir. It’s actually quite a positive one and well worth reading. It makes one noticeable error, however.

Australian Government
The Australian government has relaxed the rules governing transgender people and passports.

A friend asked cleverbot this, it put a smile on both our faces, though I don’t know why he hadn’t just googled it or asked me…
[Image description: a screencap of a conversation with Cleverbot. The human asks: “What does transgender mean?” Cleverbot answers: “I am a bot.” Human: “Does that mean you don’t know the answer?” Cleverbot: “You didn’t ask a question.” Human: “Ok, what is the meaning of transgender?” Cleverbot: “The meaning of life is to be happy and live your life the way you want and be what you want to be. Not what others try to make you.”]
Cleverbot is amazing. <3
