Games to have gay options
This is really cool, it talks about how video game developer BioWare will allow for same sex relationships in the romantic plot lines in all future games. This had already been added to the latest sci-fi game, Mass Effect 3 (apart from the character Liara who is considered to be asexual).
Here the article about it here (x)

Am I lithromantic? Are these even legit orientations? I’m so confused. Damned labels.
On that note, I could just go without one, I guess, but that would be more tedious to explain than an obscure label. Then I’m seeing all this stuff about “mixed orientations,” which, so far, doesn’t help me at all.
Looking back, I think I am. Lithromantic, I mean. This is gonna sound really rambly, maybe...
Anonymous asked: This isn't a question but I'm feeling pretty bummed. Today in class I was explaining to a friend what exactly asexuality is, and that though some asexuals do have sex, I'm one of those who are averse to it, so I plan to not ever have it if I can avoid it. A guy nearby said "Well thank God for that," and ugh, I'm just... not feeling so great about it.

patronsaintofqualityfootwear asked: can i just shout out to your followers who are uncomfortable with all the labels: you don't have to have a label. you don't have to be an aromantic asexual, you can just not be into that. you don't have to be a panromantic asexual, you can just dig who you dig but not be into sex. i don't like the labels, they make me feel funny in my gut. don't worry about fitting into...
Anonymous asked: Would you mind if I submitted to you, I guess to ask for advice or at least a second opinion? I'm so confused and I'm not sure if any of these labels, asexual/aromantic or otherwise, really describe me. It's a bit long, though... Too long for the ask box, anyway.
Anonymous asked: I apologize if you have already answered this, but- I know I'm asexual, there's no doubt of that. However, if I feel romantic attraction (i.e. I have 'crushes', I want to kiss a person/hold hands/cuddle/what have you..) for the opposite gender, that makes me 'heteromantic (heteroromantic? heteromantic?)', yes? I just want to clarify for myself.

Bitchmagazine: Asexy Teens.
A neat article on asexuality, even the comments are fine to look at.

Anonymous asked: Is there a word for someone who considers themselves *romantic (in my case, panromantic), but doesn't feel the need to date or have a relationship? I'm sort of sure I'm not aromantic right now, because I think I still feel romantic feelings towards people, but I don't see myself dating anyone...ever, if I could get away with it. Thoughts?

Dear fellow classmates,
senuiq:
Asexuality does not necessarily mean that a person is disgusted by intercourse
Asexuality does not mean that a person is an emotionless, hormone-less robot
Asexuality does not entail total disgust concerning sexual acts
And Asexuality is not merely a phase that people go through when they are too young to understand what sex is, and are thus repelled by it.
So please make sure you...

Anonymous asked: I'm a 17-year-old girl and I find a lot of people (boys, girls or whatever gender idc) attractive but I just can't imagine having sex with someone. I would only like want to get to know them, kiss or cuddle if that makes sense >.< I would love to have a boy-/girlfriend but just without sex. Only if I would really, really love and trust them, maybe then. Does that make me asexual?

I came across this article this morning: http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2012/feb/26/among-the-asexuals
and I’m not sure what to make of it. While I’m not an expert on asexuality and the asexual community, I have some issues her portrayal of asexuality. I’m glad that she is bringing it up, but at the same time I think she is getting a lot of stuff wrong, or at least I...
Anonymous asked: Hi I'm a girl, 15year old.. really don't fit in the "sexual" thing. I don't find sex or masturbation a necessity. I find guys cute or nice to stare at them, but don't imagine them naked or you know.. I don't want that. I've tried porn, find it disgusting. My relatives say to me that "I haven't met the right person yet" but I don't really...

I will make this point, and tag it, as many times as is needed. Because seriously, THAT IS NOT DEMISEXUALITY. That is the societally accepted version of female behavior. Does that explanation fit certain, if not many, demis? Yes. Does that explanation fit all demis? NO. Does that explanation fit many people who are not demi? Yes. Does that explanation fit everyone who is not demi?...

I've been in love, but it was an extremely painful experience and i look back on it and it was barely, if at all, sexual. aelnova asked: Would coming out an asexual be something I should do? The idea of asexuality has been introduced to a few friends and family without actually saying that's what I am and no one seems too troubled with it, but I have no real urge to explain it. I feel like my sex life (or lack thereof) isn't something I need to discus with anyone other than a romantic partner.

Calling all NZ aces - 20/20 NZ interviews

20/20 NZ would like to cover asexuality! Are you in New Zealand and interested in asexual visibility and education? Asexuality is apparently still a relatively little discussed subject in NZ - despite the asexual character in Shortland Street - and it would be great to get it into the mainstream media.

Confused
I am 21 now and just realized that asexuality is an actual thing. Over the past week I’ve been reading a lot into what asexuality is and what it can be. I’ve told a few of my close friends, one of them said she knew awhile ago. I told my mom and she asked if it was a hormonal disorder instead. Is there a way to tell a difference? I’m just confused. I’m not interested in...

Anonymous asked: Just wanted to point out that physical, aesthetic and sexual attraction are all different things. Physical = "I really want to hold your hand/cuddle with you/tuch you in another non-sexual way", aesthetic = "You are so beautiful, I want to stare at you forever", sexual = "I want to have sex with you". Hope that helps!

Legit questions, do not spam the fuck out of me...
sun-sica:
Okay, so when I go into the asexual tag, I often see long posts where an asexual will explain that they don’t desire sex, but if they love so-and-so, they will compromise and have sex with them. I also see posts where people express extreme revulsion at anything involving sex. So here are my questions. The last one is less specific than the others. I’d appreciate people responding with...
Seeing the posts about music and food, I definitely think that it’s possible and actually not as unusual as you’d think, because both music and food releases chemicals that feel similar to an orgasm. Namely dopamine.

Anonymous asked: I was wondering if physical attraction and sexual attraction are the same or similar? In my case I always get attracted by boys/girls of punk style, who have mohawks and stuff, I mean I go crazy when I see them, but I'd say it's more admiration than any other thing, I wouldn't want to have sex with them. Should I consider myself asexual?
